Unilad Gaming broke the embargo on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey developer diary and posted it on Facebook and YouTube. The developer diary carried the lot of interesting information on the story, lead protagonist, release date and more.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is going to be a part of Ubisoft’s E3 2018. This has been known to us for a while now – and with just a few hours to go before the start of the conference, someone at Unilad Gaming broke the embargo and posted an Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Developer Diary carrying a ton of interesting new details about the game including the release date.
According to the details revealed in the developer diary, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will allow players to select between male (Alexios) or female (Kassandra) protagonists, irrespective of the choice you make, the story will be same.
It was also revealed in the developer diary that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set in 431BC when the Peloponnesian war begins. The lead protagonist is the descendants of the First Civilization Bloodline. Player will get to explore more about the First Civilization. The story of Layla will continue as she searches for First Civilization knowledge and artifacts.
The developer diary also gave us a first look at the map of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Obviously, it was bigger than Assassin’s Creed Origins’ map, in fact, according to Ubisoft, this is the biggest map they have introduced in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Socrates is present in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and at some point in the game, you will meet him. Also, Ancient Wonders are also returning.
This is not all, the developer diary also carried some gameplay footage of naval combat and some of its mechanics like ship boarding, ramming and others.
Last but not the least, October 5 was listed as the release date of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Watch the developer diary below before it is taken down.
