It seems like CD Projekt Red had left a teaser in the new trailer of Cyberpunk 2077 about when the gameplay will be revealed – Gamescom 2018.
CD Projekt RED has shared a new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer back at the E3 2018 Xbox media briefing, a trailer where it has put lots of hidden stuff and even codes to unlock The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt digital copies.
One interesting thing noted by Reddit users is that the messages and codes are hidden in the Xbox media briefing trailer refer to “gk_WIP” after “ark_bullets” and “e3_trailer.”
It’s a clear reference at the occasions where the game has been shown (the original teaser and the E3 2018) and is showing up and, while in a first moment it was thought “gk” meant “Geoff Keighley”, an E3 Coliseum showcase has not been made at all.
At this point, looking at the possible meaning of the code introduce in the E3 2018 trailer, it seems likely it could mean “Gamescom Koelnmesse” instead, the next big event in the video games industry for the year.
Does this mean we’ll see this gameplay at the upcoming Gamescom in August? Considering The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has received gameplay at the event in the past and that CDPR is a European developer, we wouldn’t rule that out.
As of now, Cyberpunk 2077 hasn’t a release date or window, and the first gameplay the press has been able to see in the last few hours at the E3 2018 hasn’t been released yet to the general public.
