The monthly player number count trumps Fortnite, which is one of the biggest game in the world at the moment. Epic Games announced that Fortnite had just over 78 million players, 12 million less then what Minecraft is getting, back in August.

Even after constant years of updates, changes, and add-ons, Minecraft is still going strong.

Microsoft has announced that the game currently has over 90 million monthly active users (91 million to be exact) and has gone on to be the second best-selling video game of all-time, selling 154 million copies worldwide. The biggest selling video game in the world is still Tetris, which has sold an estimated 170 million units since its release in 1984.
