Sony has just shared its Q2 FY2018 report, which is very positive for both the PlayStation business and the company overall.
PS4 has sold 3,9 million units in the three months ended September 30, 2018, a 300,000 drop in comparison with the same period last year.

Considering we’re getting closer and closer to the end of the generation, such a little drop without any price cut proves the console is still in a great shape.
In total PlayStation 4 has sold 86.1 million units and targets 100 million by the end of the next fiscal year. The fiscal year forecast for console sales has been raised up to 17.5 million.
PlayStation software sold 75.1 million units, +5.4 million over the same period last year, while PlayStation Plus subscribers have raised up to 34.3 million (+400,000 users).
As we approach the end of the generation, the business is still rather satisfying for Sony and this means we won’t see more than few Holiday bundles later this year with no need to cut prices.
