Cuphead is back with new DLC for 2019, and a new playable character is coming too. Expect Studio MDHR’s expansion, The Delicious Last Course, sometime next year.

Details remain slim for now, but the DLC will add a ton of new content to the game. Ms. Chalice was introduced as a playable character, along with new bosses, weapons, charms. A brand new isle is coming too, and a character called “Chef Saltbaker,” was introduced as a “jolly” chef made out of a salt container.

No gameplay footage was shown from Cuphead’s upcoming DLC during Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference, however, the trailer shows Ms. Chalice running from side-to-side and double-jumping. Fans will have to wait for more information about her in-game abilities at a later date.

Cuphead launched last year in September 2017 to critical acclaim after being teased by Microsoft over multiple E3 press conferences. Earlier this year, Studio MDHR said that it would return to Cuphead in the future, however, the game’s developers never teased any additional DLC for the side-scrolling shooter. For many, The Delicious Last Course is an unexpected addition, albeit a welcome one.

Cuphead’s The Delicious Last Course lands sometime in 2019. No official release date has been announced as of yet, and it remains unclear if Ms. Chalice’s introduction means three-player co-op will be available in the near future. In the meantime, Cuphead is available now for PC and Xbox One.
