Search Engine Giant Google has just shared their “Year in Search” 2018 numbers. It is a list of top 10 trends in different categories that defined the year 2018. Can you guess which game topped the Video Games category? the name is not going to surprise you.
2018’s top video game search term was Fortnite (in the United States), followed by Red Dead Redemption 2 and Fallout 76. Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5, and Sony Santa Monica’s God of War (PS4) completed the top five . You can check out the full list below. Kingdom Come Deliverance and Zombs Royale were the surprise inclusions in my opinion, with no place for PUBG (PUBG Mobile).
- Fortnite
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Fallout 76
- Far Cry 5
- God of War
- Monster Hunter: World
- Sea of Thieves
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance
- Zombs Royale
Apart from the Video Games category, Fortnite also topped the GIF search as well. It seems like a lot of gamers in the United States wanted to know how to do a floss dance this year. Are you one of them?
