We’ve already discussed the topic of PlayStation 5 possible specs in our rumors roundup feature we’ve posted few days ago.
Interestingly, though, there’s a possible new leak about the technical specifics for the next generation console by Sony.
Twitter user Komachi has indeed found references to what could possibly be PS5 in the latest AMD custom silicon.
The information included in his tweet lead to what follows:
- CPU – Eight-core at 3.2 GHz
- Architecture – AMD Zen (Zen 2? Zen+?)
- GPU – Navi 10Lite
Sony would also be implementing a custom SoC for the console, as discovered in those references coming from the custom silicon.
We’ve yet to learn the details about the architecture and the GPU, even though those are in line with the previous rumors.
Anyway, it looks the CPU will have an important upgrade in comparison with the original PS4 and the mid generation PlayStation 4 Pro.
Something that developers have kind of considered a bottleneck for the platform and should finally brought at a decent level.
We’ll let you know if more details on this topic pop up as soon as they do.
