We’ve already reported about a rumor that Sony could be interested in acquiring Take-Two Interactive, which has been debunked in a few hours.
After Take-Two Interactive, which said it doesn’t comment on rumors and speculations, it’s time for Sony to drop a statement on the matter.
While it hasn’t done that officially, and probably won’t do anytime soon, we learn that the platform owner has been in touch with Bloomberg’s Yuji Nakamura.
As he shared on Twitter, Nakamura said he’s talked to Sony’s reps and they have told him that there’s “no truth” behind those rumors.
“Everyone including Wedbush already knew this, but here you go for the record: Sony confirmed to me there’s “no truth” to reports that it will acquire Take Two,” Nakamura revealed.
So, that’s the end of the road for the rumor, which would’ve led PlayStation to grab exclusive content from the makers of GTA and NBA 2K among the others.
