Youtuber JorRaptor has found what seems to be a new hint at the possible location of the next game in the Assassin’s Creed series.
The hint has been discovered in The Division 2, where players can see a poster of a Viking holding the Apple of Eden.
The poster has “Valhalla” written on the top of it, which could be the codename for the game or even its full title.
We don’t know who that man is, whether it is a generic Viking we’ll learn more about at a later stage or some divinity.
This is not the first time such a location gets mentioned for Assassin’s Creed since a few months ago an artist from Ubisoft Milan worked on a bunch of artwork for an Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok thing that should’ve apparently stay secret.
Anyway, more recent rumors have pointed at an Assassin’s Creed Adder game which should’ve wrapped the so-called Ancient Trilogy.
The final episode was rumored to be set in the Ancient Rome and throughout Italy, completing the picture with Egypt and Greece in Origins and Odyssey.
Hopefully, we’ll learn more about that as the next Assassin’s Creed is apparently coming 2020 after it skipped this year.
UPDATE
Two independent sources close to the Kotaku has confirmed that the next Assassin’s Creed game is going to be all about the Vikings, and it will launch in 2020 (as confirmed by Ubisoft).
