Electronic Arts has revealed, during the latest earnings call with investors and analysts, that new Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies are on their way.

The news doesn’t look too surprising since we’re getting a new Need for Speed title every couple years and that a developer, Ghost Games, was set up specifically for that purpose.

Plants vs. Zombies from PopCap is also a property that is well known and regarded, both by community and fans, and the Garden Warfare series has been widely appreciated.

“Looking forward, we’re delighted to launch Anthem, our new IP, to grow Apex Legends and related Titanfall experiences, to deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles, and to add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to our sports titles in the fall,” CFO Blake Jorgensen said.

While we don’t have any additional detail about what these games will be about, we do know that the PvZ title will be a shooter, so we expect it to be a Garden Warfare 3 of sorts.

We don’t have specific timelines for the games, even though they should be dropping by the end of the first quarter next year, so we expect them to be still tailored for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

There’s a chance that Needs for Speed at least could be cross-gen, as it has already happened to the franchise in the past since a good racing game is always fine for a new console’s launch, but that remains to be seen in the coming months.

Are you hyped for those games? Let us know in the comments below.
