Over 100 games are coming to the service when it launches.
The price of the Xbox Game Pass on PC has been unveiled by Microsoft ahead of their Press Conference at E3 later today.
The service on PC will be available for just $4.99 a month, and it includes an introductory offer of 75% off the service for subscribing now when signed in select regions.
While the full list of games has not yet been revealed, the Windows Store Page does show a few games that can be expected on the pass. The list includes the upcoming Halo Master Chief Collection, Gears 5 & Ori and the Will of the Wisps, as well as games that were previously on the PC version of the Game Pass including Forza Horizon 4, State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves.
The service is separate from Xbox Live and games can be downloaded to your system and played all the while you are subscribed. Unlike with the Xbox One, you currently do not need an Xbox Live subscription to be able to play games online on the Windows Store. With how badly Games for Windows Live went on PC, this is not expected to change.
This comes as Phil Spencer’s Microsoft has been much more open to the PC platform in recent years, stating that it’s been a big focus of the company to incorporate it as part of the Xbox Ecosystem. This announcement of the price, which is very modest and competes with the likes of EA Access and PlayStation Now, will continue their commitment to PC gaming.
