There are 15-minutes of gameplay footage of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne that came out of E3 2019, showing off two new creatures players are going to have the chance to hunt in the new expansion
There’s exciting new footage coming out of E3 2019 of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, where we see three hunters taking on two different monsters. The first one shown in the video is called a Banbaro, and the other, lizard-like creature is called a Tigrex. Both are fearsome opponents, and the encounters take place in the new snowy environment.
The start of the hunt goes the same as many would expect, with the hunters searching for brief clues to locate their first prey. When they set their eyes on the Banbaro, it looks like a mixture between an elf and a t-rex, fur, and scales all thrown together. It’s not a pretty sight, but the hunters can likely make some unique weapons and gear from its different parts.
After the team takes down the Banbaro, they move on to search for the Tigrex. This creature is not as large as the Banbaro, but that doesn’t stop the hunters from having a rough time.
The fighting looks similar to what most would expect from Monster Hunter World, but the unique, chilly environment stands out the most. There’s glaciers, ice mountains, and snow covering the entire field of vision in the game. There’s a distinct crunch as the hunters make their way through the game, giving it that authentic feeling of being in the middle of a stormy winter.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne doesn’t come out until September 3, so there’s still plenty of time to pre-order the title for your respective console. You can purchase the expansion for $39.99. If you don’t have Monster Hunter World, you can pick up the base game and the expansion in a bundle for $59.99.
