We’ve known that there’s a Diablo 4 game, or whatever it will be named, in the making for a while now, but it looks like we’re getting closer and closer to a full presentation of the project. That’s indeed what a report from French publication Le Monde lets us believe.
We’ve known that there’s a Diablo 4 game being worked on right now, but it looks like we’re getting closer and closer to a full presentation of the project. At least, according to a report from the French publication, Le Monde.
According to their latest report, employees at the French branch of Blizzard have already seen the game. This choice could indicate that the game is getting closer to being ready for getting shown to the public. Up to this point, no details about the game have leaked.
“The Blizzard Entertainment teams have already had the right to a presentation of the highly anticipated Diablo 4,” reads in the report. These findings provide the most significant hint towards seeing the project at the upcoming BlizzCon happening at the Anaheim Center later in November.
Based on intel gathered from Kotaku, we do know that Diablo 4 was expected to be revealed last year at BlizzCon, but the presentation got discarded at the last minute. The event ended with the disappointing reveal of Diablo Immortal for mobile devices, and fans lashed out at Blizzard in response.
On top of that, Le Monde also claims that the employees of the French offices at Blizzard already “know that a new Overwatch is in the pipes,” and this could be the rumored PvE cooperative game. “But none will come out before 2020, at best.”
We’ll report more as we learn new details.
