Over the last few hours, we’ve discussed a lot about Insomniac Games being acquired by Sony, as it’s huge news for PlayStation fans and not only out there. We’ve talked about the not so tiny details and the plans for the future at the Worldwide Studios, but how about what people inside Sony are feeling about the acquisition?

We’ve gathered a few interesting tweets from the multiple SWS developers out there, and were not so surprised at looking at their enthusiasm at learning the news of the acquisition. Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Guerrilla Games, London Studio, and more shared their love with their new “sibling” at Insomniac, and expressed how happy they are about the move from Sony.

God of War’s Santa Monica Studio has remarked how Insomniac has “always been family” to the internal teams at Sony since it has been working with PlayStation for more than 20 years, while Ghost of Tsushima’s Sucker Punch has shared a pic of Sly Raccoon and Ratchet shaking hands. The Last of Us Part II devs are instead “beyond excited” for the news.

Among other teams expressing their congratulations, we can find Blood & Truth‘s London Studio, Concrete Genie‘s PixelOpus, Days Gone‘s Bend Studio, and Guerrilla Games, who shared a touching tweet via managing director German Hulst.

“This is a little like welcoming your own brother to your family,” said Hulst. “We at Guerrilla have always thoroughly enjoyed working with Insomniac Games since the Resistance/KZ2 days. Couldn’t think of a better sibling to our PlayStation WWS family!!.”

So, it looks like the mood is great at PlayStation today, and hopefully, this means even greater things to come in the future with Insomniac Games able to take advantage, even more than in the past, of the partnership with Sony and its first-party studios to craft its next titles.
