Nintendo has just deployed a brand new firmware update for Nintendo Switch, which brings the console up to the 9.0.1 release.

As you might expect, it’s not introducing anything major, nor particular features on top of the existing firmware, but is working on it to polish some bugs that had popped up over the last few days.

In particular, a bug that turned to be very ‘popular’ on the Internet at the release of the Nintendo Switch Lite was the one that prompts a tutorial screen on the initial setup of the console to remove Joy-Cons even though it doesn’t come with the detachable controllers.

Also, we learn thanks to the changelog that Nintendo has “resolved an issue that may have triggered errors during gameplay,” even though this is not very specific so we don’t know what the “issue” in question might be.

We’ve reported about the possibility that Nintendo might be already working on a hardware revision for the Nintendo Switch Lite. We know nothing about it, but could be leading to a major fix to drifting, the issue that is currently present in all the console of the Switch line and has not been fixed yet despite the release of two new models in the last few weeks.
