Looks like a couple of Blizzard’s BlizzCon secrets are out.
Yesterday, we reported on the news that Blizzard was set to introduce Overwatch 2 later this week, as part of its BlizzCon announcements. Today, not only did we get further confirmation about that particular sequel, but also an upcoming expansion to World of Warcraft.
Per this report from Twitter’s Nibellion (via MMO Champion), the new Overwatch image is taken from a “mystery print” that will be available to purchase on the Blizzard Gear page, probably following its official reveal. As you can see below, it features the return of Tracer and Mei, as well as the debut of the much-rumored Echo, the latest hero for the game. Check out the image below!
But the other bit of news is sure to be music to the ears of World of Warcraft fans. The first image, seen above, features a new character from the upcoming Shadowlands expansion, which looks to be the latest addition to the game.
Then there’s a good look at the second image, which appears below. It confirms the Shadowlands name and explains that fans can “Explore the glorious land of Bastion! Meet the Noble Kyrian! Discover new abilities!” These pieces of artwork look to be more announcements for Blizzard to make later this week, in which we’ll see a trailer to follow.
There isn’t a release date for either Overwatch 2 or World of Warcraft: Shadowlands at the moment. However, with BlizzCon’s kick-off just a few days away, we’ll likely learn what’s going on with these releases sooner rather than later.
Who’s ready for some follow-ups?
