PS5 is going to be a very powerful console, but perhaps not the “world’s fastest console” as it was promoted a few days ago.
You might recall that Sony posted a job listing for the Senior Cloud Engineer Manager not so much time ago and that in the ad it was stated that the person hired would have worked on PlayStation 5, which was dubbed the “world’s fastest console.”
“You will be managing distributed systems that are powering 100+ million PS4 consoles that deliver immersive gaming experiences,” the ad claimed.
“You will also be one of the leaders of an elite team that is super excited to launch the upcoming world’s fastest console (PS5) in 2020. You will love working at PlayStation if you have a strong passion for systems, availability, and resiliency.”
Anyway, over the last few hours, the ad has been fixed not only with the “world’s fastest console” reference being removed but also with all the mentions to PS5 got rid of for some reason.
It was slightly weird that right now PlayStation got to talk publicly and so loud about PlayStation 5, since we’re still in a stage of secrecy about what’s going to happen over the next generation of consoles.
Perhaps, it was done just by mistake, and someone at Sony has noticed that, so the job listing might have been edited in order not to spill any bean out before the proper time comes next year.
