UKIE has released UK sales charts for the week ending on Dec. 7. The latest chart witnesses a return in the three best selling games of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. FIFA 20 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare are still holding tight their dominating positions, though.

Mainly eye-catching is the return of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, not unexpected if you consider we’re approaching the holiday season, and the game has historically been appreciated as a family product. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order loses a position and falls to the fourth spot.

The top ten list is below:

  1. FIFA 20 (last week 1)
  2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2)
  3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (7)
  4. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (3)
  5. Pokémon Sword (6)
  6. Just Dance 2020 (13)
  7. Luigi’s Mansion 3 (9)
  8. Sea of Thieves (4)
  9. Minecraft: Xbox Edition (5)
  10. Pokémon Shield (8)

Death Stranding, the most recent PlayStation 4 exclusive, is the only 35th, further losing position compared to the previous week. Sea of Thieves and Minecraft are still in the top ten after they joined it thanks to Xbox One S All Digital Edition’s attractive Black Friday bundles. Shenmue III, whose sales have put in danger chances of a sequel despite Yu Suzuki’s will to further extend the franchise, is outside of the top 40.

With that said, Nintendo is the most represented publisher in the top ten charts, thanks to four Switch games coming right from its exclusives’ portfolio.
