Nintendo Indie World just finished, and there were a lot of highly anticipated indie games revealed for the Nintendo Switch. Here is a quick recap of what games will be available and their release dates.
Nintendo continued to stack its indie game library with today’s Nintendo Indie World stream, which came jam-packed with over a dozen games reveals and several decent surprises.
Here’s the list of games from Nintendo’s Dec. 10 Indie World livestream.
Sports Story – mid 2020
The sequel to Golf Story, Sports Story has made an unexpected appearance as the first title revealed for the Nintendo Switch.
Streets of Rage 4 – first half 2020
The Streets of Rage series returns to Nintendo with the fourth installment, bringing back beloved character Adam Hunter for the first time since 1991’s original Streets of Rage.
Gleamlight – early 2020
Gleamlight looks to be a gorgeous platformer that tells a unique story from within stained glass.
Supermash – May 2020
SuperMash offers a unique concept of combining a video game with another video game. Can we say game-ception?
The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition – today
The Talos Principle finds you immersed in a world with ancient ruins and advanced technology while solving challenging puzzles.
Sail Forth – 2020
While it might seem that Sail Forth is just a ship simulator, the developers behind the game say it will focus on customization, building fleets, and more.
Dauntless – Out today
Dauntless makes its way to the Switch, giving players the opportunity to explore the fantasy setting while going against creatures and collecting loot.
Murder by Numbers – early 2020
In the form of a visual novel, Murder by Numbers has you finding clues from Pixel Puzzles to help clear actress Honor Mizrahi’s name.
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath – January 2020
While it is not an indie game, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath makes its Nintendo debut on the Switch after failed attempts to appear on previous Nintendo consoles.
SkateBIRD – Late 2020
Move over Untitled Goose Game, SkateBIRD takes the weird concept of a cute bird riding a skateboard, and we cannot get enough of it.
Liberated – 2020
Liberated is a side-scrolling action-adventure title that features a unique cyberpunk setting while being in the pages of a comic book.
Boyfriend Dungeon – 2020
As a Kickstarter project, Boyfriend Dungeon is a surprising combination of a dating simulator and a dungeon crawler. Yet, somehow, it is a fantastic looking game.
Dreamscaper – early 2020
Dreamscaper is a hack-and-slash game that also borrows elements from an action RPG, with a dark premise of the main character going through depression.
The Survivalists – 2020
The Survivalists has the developer Team 17 take on the concept of island survival and offer variety for playing by yourself or with others.
Axiom Verge 2 – Fall 2020
Axiom Verge 2 arrives after four years of waiting. Thomas Happ, the developer for the game, had the opportunity to announce it himself at Nintendo’s presentation.
