Welcome back, Bigby.
There’s quite an interesting story behind the long-awaited sequel to Telltale Games’ The Wolf Among Us. But the good news is, it’s finally continuing.
During this evening’s broadcast of The Game Awards 2019, LCG Entertainment, under the name of Telltale, announced the resurrection of The Wolf Among Us 2 alongside the co-developers at AdHoc Studio. There’s a teaser trailer, but there’s not much.
Directors Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart and writer Pierre Shorette are working on the game, along with staffers that helped with the first game.
The game was initially revealed by Telltale during San Diego Comic-Con in 2017, getting a lot of fans excited for the returning Bigby Wolf and company. However, a year following that announcement, Telltale Games confirmed its cancellation right before it went belly-up.
LCG Entertainment has since come in, reopening the company under a whole new entity. Now, under their leadership, The Wolf Among Us’ second season will come to fruition.
What’s more, we know Bigby is in it — and there could be other returning characters as well. The voices may sound familiar, because it’s Adam Harrington returning as Bigby, and Erin Yvette portraying Snow. Composer Jared Emerson-Johnson will also return to produce the music.
The Wolf Among Us 2 will debut on PC (exclusively through Epic Games Store) and consoles. We don’t know the release date, but it will be episodic, like the original. We’ll see what 2020 brings.
