Resident Evil 3’s announcement earlier this month pretty much guaranteed that Capcom is set to win over gamers in 2020. But a series of newly filed trademarks suggest there might be more in store with re-releases.

The same Twitter account that revealed Square Enix filed a new trademark for Nier (suggesting that a remake is in the works) today also pointed out a slew of trademarks filed by Capcom. No, really, there are a lot.

One of the standouts is Dino Crisis. Since Resident Evil 2’s remaster hit earlier this year, fans have been clamoring for Capcom to bring back the survival horror franchise. We haven’t seen an entry in that particular franchise since Dino Crisis 3 on the Xbox back in 2003, so its return would be a welcome one.

But Capcom isn’t finished—Power Stone might also be making a comeback. The hit fighting franchise from the Dreamcast glory days hasn’t been seen since the release of the PSP collection in 2006. Again, fans were wondering if this could get a re-release. There hasn’t been any official word, but this does provide a glimmer of hope.

Other notable names re-registered with fresh trademarks include Cyberbots, Darkstalkers, Rockman (Mega Man), Tech Romancer, Progear, and Bionic Commando.

Capcom hasn’t announced anything officially. But it’s obvious that classic favorites coming out on new consoles can get huge attention. Resident Evil 2 has sold over 5 million copies since its release earlier this year, outperforming its original release. Imagine what a Power Stone Collection with HD visuals and online play could do for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Especially with crossplay.

Don’t get your hopes too high just yet, as these trademarks are speculative. But looking forward to the new year, Capcom could have big plans for looking back.
