Right before the weekend, we came across a pair of listings on the Microsoft Store, suggesting that both Bayonetta and Vanquish would receive remastered releases. Today, Sega confirmed the news—and this time, with the PlayStation 4 getting confirmation as well.

The publisher announced that Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle will release on Feb. 18, 2020, for both platforms, and in both digital and physical form. It also released a first look trailer featuring a heaping dose of action from the remastered Platinum Games releases.

Priced at $39.99, the games are remastered in 4K resolution, moving at a trailblazing speed of 60 frames per second on the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro platforms. That’s a huge leap from when the games debuted earlier this decade on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

In addition, the game will be available in digital and physical formats. Those that take the physical route will get a special Steelbook case as part of the package, featuring art by the team at Weapons Van in collaboration with famed director Hideki Kamiya and Platinum. That art is below—and it should be a real hit with fans.

Bayonetta Vanquish Cover Art

“This was a dream project for us at Weapons Van, and we cannot thank SEGA and PlatinumGames enough for this opportunity to apply our art direction to the Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle covers,” the artists said in a statement. “We absolutely love both titles and handpicked Dan Dussault because we knew he could knock it out of the park with his attention to detail and his ability to capture motion in his art.”

Those that order the game digitally on PlayStation 4 will get a couple of special Bayonetta and Vanquish themes, likely with a similar art style.

It’s good to see these games are official, and getting a second chance to make a first impression on a new audience.
