The Blair Witch is coming to PS4, just in time for the holidays.
PlayStation 4 owners will soon be able to meet the Blair Witch, just in time for… the holidays? After spending several months haunting the Xbox One and PC, Blair Witch is ready for its debut on PS4.
The developers at Bloober Team announced today that the survival horror hit, based on the film franchise of the same name, will make its way to Sony’s console starting Dec. 3. It’s priced to sell at $29.99, and will feature a day one update with a number of enhancements, including gameplay and technical.
Along with the digital release, the developer also confirmed that the game will also see a physical version at a later date.
The trailer below sets the tone for the game, in which your player finds themselves in a dark forest, where all sorts of environmental terrors await. Take a look at the description from the devs:
“Blair Witch offers fans, and players alike, their own descent into madness through an original story inspired by Lionsgate’s iconic Blair Witch. Set in 1996, a young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. Players experience the horror as Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, accompanied by his trustful canine companion, Bullet. Their story starts as they join the search for the missing boy, but players shortly discover the horrors that await as the woods twist and turn into an endless nightmare. Ellis will have to confront his fears, and his past, along with the mysterious force that haunts the woods.”
Along with that, a “Good Boy Pack” will also release for other versions of the game. It’ll be available for Xbox One and PC, featuring a number of new dog skins, as well as in-game cellphone games and wallpapers.
