During the reveal event for Borderlands 3, Gearbox Software has shared additional information about the game and some exciting details for people who are eagerly waiting for its September 13, 2019 release.
First of all, the studio from Texas, US has revealed how long the story campaign will be, for those among you who plan to stick to the main quest and only after that focus on other content.
“If you beeline it through, and I mean beelining it through, it might take you 30 hours to complete the main story,” creative Paul Sage told PC Gamer.
That’s in line with Borderlands 2, which, according to How Long to Beat, hits the 30-hour mark more or less (up to 115 hours for completionists). The original game is said to be 22.5 hours long, and The Pre-Sequel is reported to have an average of 17.5 hours for what matters the main content.
In case this should not be enough for your tastes, be warned that Gearbox has deep post-launch plans as it has already happened with the previous entries of the franchise.
Lead boss designer Matt Cox has revealed that “we’ll have special events as well as raids,” popping up after the end of the launch period, and “more details about the endgame” are coming “around E3.”
Cox also shared that “four story-based DLCs” are on their way, so on top of events and a live component there’ll also be something more classic as regular expansions.
