After teasing for several weeks on social media, Gearbox Software has finally officially revealed Borderlands 3.

In the lead up to PAX East this year, Gearbox through social media has heavily suggested that a completely new Borderlands game is coming.

The Gearbox panel was plagued with multiple technical issues, especially concerning with Borderlands remasters coming to modern consoles.

At the very end of their panel, Gearbox finally showed off the reveal trailer for Borderlands 3. There were still technical issues with the trailer; it was very laggy. Fortunately, that didn’t prevent the crowd at the panel to cheer out loud towards the most hype moments in the trailer.

Borderlands 3, as shown in the trailer, have the same artistic style as Borderlands 2. The trailer introduces a bunch of new characters, including the new main villains. Several returning fan favorites are also shown in the trailer, including Maya and Tiny Tina.

The biggest reveal is the amount of the guns the game will have. According to the trailer, Borderlands 3 will feature over one billion guns.

No release date has been given for Borderlands 3. But more information will be available on April 3, on the official Borderlands website.
