As the hype machine kicks into overdrive for the impending release of Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3, every single vault hunter is looking for whatever pieces of information they can find regarding the game. Even here on Gamepur, we’ve seen preview guides for weapons, vehicles, characters, the list is endless, but now, finally, we have something a little more concrete to offer you, and it comes in the way of news.

During PAX West, Gearbox revealed the first stage it has planned for dropping brand new content, and special events on us before 2019 finally turns into 2020, and it looks as if they’ve got quite a few things hidden up their sleeves.

Borderlands 3 Content Update

Look At All The Shiny

So what is it that we can actually expect from these updates? Well, the first is Bloody Harvest, which is going to be a Halloween based event that will add themed side missions and activities for you to complete and will award you new, unique, rewards for doing so. Then there’s the Maliwan Takedown which is going to add a brand new map to Borderlands 3 and will give us a never seen before boss battle to complete and like Bloody Harvest before it the best part about all of this is that it’s free!

Finally, before we wave good-bye to the year, there will be the first, proper, DLC and it’s going to cost you. Either via Season Pass or just buying it when it shows up, you’ll have to part with some proper cash if you want to experience all that it has to offer. It will, undoubtedly, be worth the money and will be a lot more impressive than the two free pieces of content that Gearbox will be releasing but so far, the rest of 2019 is looking good for all of us that can’t wait to head back to Pandora and even further abroad.
