Bungie Announces Details of The Dawning 2018 Event

Eva Levante returns to the Tower to bake goodies with Guardians for the Dawning 2018 event from December 11 to January 1.

The Dawning is Bungie’s holiday event for Destiny 2, and it will return on December 11 and run through January 1. Eva Levante is back to facilitate things and teach Guardians how to bake cookies, which can then be turned in for Dawning exclusive items ranging from cosmetic items to legendary gear, including a heavy machinegun.

The Dawning Rewards

In addition to baking cookies, there will be triumphs to pursue and bounties to complete. The kind of items that Guardians can earn include the following:

• Enhancement Cores
• Mods
• Legendary Gear
• Avalanche Heavy Machinegun, featuring random rolls

A particularly festive looking sparrow will also be up for grabs, and it will feature several unique perks.

• Glimmer Boost: While boosting, the Sparrow spawns a glimmer present every few seconds until boost runs out. Glimmer presents burst open after a moment so that players can acquire the glimmer. Only active during the dawning.
• Glimmer Trick: When the player lands a trick with the Sparrow, 3 to 5 glimmer presents are spawned. Only active during the Dawning.
• Instant Summon: Reduces Sparrow summon time significantly.

During the Dawning, Guardians will receive double engram drops each time they level up, giving them a chance to earn several new cosmetics and emotes, including this beauty.

The Dawning 2018 event will begin on December 11 and run until January 1.
