This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information
For years fans told Capcom they’d buy more Mega Man, but it’s unlikely this is what fans had in mind. Pre-orders are open for a Mega Man statue that’ll cost you as much as a new Honda Civic or 366 copies of Mega Man 8 for Sega Saturn. What a bargain!

Capcom is selling a solid gold Mega Man that’ll set you back 2.4 million yen, or around $22,000. It’s in celebration of Mega Man’s 30th anniversary, which was actually back in December 2017. The $22,000 statue is 3.2 ounces of gold and just about four inches tall. For those of us without $22,000 to spare, there’s a cheaper, smaller version up for pre-order for $6,227, according to 4Gamer.

Naturally, the statue comes in a fancy glass case stuffed into another fancy box. Your next sound investment is available for pre-order today. Time to take a chance on gold, am I right? The good news here is that if you ever get sick of the statue, you can just melt it down and re-coup some of that money.

Capcom’s also got an upcoming Mega Man title on the docket, Mega Man 11. Continuing the original Mega Man series, it’s slated for release on Oct. 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It’s the first Mega Man game in the original, numbered series since Mega Man 10 came out in March 2010.
