CI Games will introduce a brand new contracts system in Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, the next installment of its series, and send you to Siberia.
The Sniper Ghost Warrior series has become the genre-defining series when it comes to tactical sniping shooters. CI Games will be introducing a new way of getting at your targets in Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts. Scheduled for release in 2019, the latest iteration will take a step back from previous title’s open world features and instead focus on more linear, task-focused contracts.

Players will accept contracts on a variety of targets and execute them in the harsh Siberian wilderness. Contracts can be repeated to try and beat previous objectives for bonus payouts. CI Games CEO Marek Tymi?ski outlined some of the changes as follows:
“It is exciting to see the team really motivated and working hard on our next sniping game. They don’t have to start from scratch this time and can now – on top of developing new content – spend way more time on improving things they already have.”
Tymi?ski continued, “We were too ambitious in terms of the scope of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, but we’ve learned from our missteps. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will be more focused on emergent gameplay with an open-ended mission design that the team feels strong about, but it will not be set in an open world. It is going to be a more tactical, more condensed experience and the game will offer plenty of replayability, both on the single player campaign and on the multiplayer modes.”
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will launch in 2019 on PlayStation4, Xbox One, and PC and feature both single-player and multi-player modes.
