Hotly-anticipated zombie title Days Gone will be released on Feb. 22 2019, exclusively for the Playstation 4.
As part of Sony’s Countdown to E3, a brand new trailer revealed the date and showed off an exciting new look at the game being made by Bend Studio. The video offers more game footage than ever before, showing off some of the horrors that await you in the rural-based zombie apocalypse title.
Among the new content in the video was a variety of zombified wild animals, like mountain lions, wolves, ravens, and a bear. There’s also a screaming, wide-mouthed female zombie that is sure to send shivers down your spine. Some of it is pretty gnarly.
It looks a lot like the game will feature many antagonists—you won’t have to contend with just zombies and undead animals, but human survivors as well. The motorcycle looks to be a key component of the gameplay. Hosts on the live stream said that it would need to be gassed up, serviced, and upgraded throughout the game.
Days Gone was originally revealed at Sony’s E3 2016 press conference in the form of a gameplay demo. It was initially supposed to release some time this year, but was recently delayed until early next year.
Now we have a concrete release date for the game for the very first time, the hype can begin in earnest.
