A New Trailer For Death Stranding Will Arrive This Week

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

If you have been waiting to see the next trailer for Death Stranding, you won’t have to wait too much longer.

Death Stranding, the upcoming PS4 game from creative auteur Hideo Kojima, looks like the very best type of nonsense. Weird monsters, spindly black fibers, ever present hand prints, and teleporting babies all star in his first game since leaving the Konami fold. I don’t know about you, but I’m firmly seated on this hype train. To stoke the fires of my hype, Hideo Kojima recently shared a rather cryptic tweet about the game.

The video doesn’t reveal much, detailing the now traditional hand print, and also the game’s protagonist Sam, played by Norman Reedus. It also featured the message “Create the Rope”. Kojima Productions official Twitter account then followed up with a tweet that heavily hints at more information coming out way on May 29.

Once again, the term “Create the Rope” is used, so it is safe to say this is all going to tie into the lore and weird happenings in the game somehow. For now, there is no more information, and no more clues, just the traditional cryptic messaging that we have all grown to expect around this game. I am reasonably sure that May 29th won’t make anything clearer, but it will surely get the hype train chugging along again.

While it was rumored that Death Stranding would be a launch title for the PS5, Sony put that to bed by stating Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Last of Us II would all be arriving on the PS4. With Sony skipping E3 altogether this year, there is a chance that we could be getting a release date on Friday, but I wouldn’t hold your breath for that one.
