Destiny 2’s 1.2.3 update is now live, bringing with it a ton of quality changes. It is the final update before the highly anticipated Forsaken expansion, which arrives on Sept. 4.

The update marks the arrival of the Prestige versions of both Raid Lairs. Prestige Eater of Worlds goes live today at 1pm CT, while Prestige Spire of Stars goes live tomorrow at 12pm CT. Both activities will drop 400 Power weapons and Exotic catalysts, as well as Raid armor ornaments.

A number of Exotic armors have seen some substantial buffs for this update. For Hunters, Lucky Raspberry, ST0MP-EE5, and Young Ahamkara’s Spine have all been improved. Warlocks will now see better usage out of Crown of Tempests, Karnstein Armlets, and Starfire Protocol, while Titans have gotten a buff for Doomfang Pauldrons, ACD/0 Feedback Fence, and Dunemarchers.

The Crucible, Destiny‘s PvP modes, has also seen a number of tweaks. The most noticeable is that Quickplay will now support six-vs-six instead of four-vs-four to better support casual play. Supremacy has been removed from Quickplay to be put in its own playlist.

Bounties make their triumphant return in update 1.2.3 for the first time since Destiny 1. Five Crucible bounties a day will be available from Lord Shaxx, and five Vanguard bounties will be available from Commander Zavala. They will reward Legendary Marks and experience.

Today’s update also prepares the game for the Solstice of Heroes event beginning on July 31. That event will reward players with a bonus Solstice Engram with each Prototype Engram earned through leveling up. When decrypting the new Engrams, players will receive new items until they’ve unlocked them all.

For now, this update will need to hold players through the summer until the big expansion comes out in the beginning of September. Will it be enough?

The full patch notes can be found on Bungie’s website.
