With Destiny 2 still on the mend, with numerous updates trying to address community complaints, the game’s second expansion is still set to release sometime soon.
Up until now, Bungie hasn’t said much about the expansion. Previous leaks suggest that Expansion II is called “The Fallen Warmind” and will release on May 8. That’s a little over a month away, so it makes sense for the teases to begin now. And so they have.
First, WWE star Paul “The Big Show” Wight tweeted out this photo yesterday. The tweet itself is nothing too extraordinary, but the shirt he’s wearing bears the Warmind logo from the Destiny series. That same logo has been directly attached to Expansion II since the Expansion Pass was first revealed last year.
Then, Destiny 2 director Chris Barrett followed up with a cryptic tweet of his own. Barrett’s tweet seems to be a direct reference to a Grimoire card from Destiny 1 called “Ghost Fragment: Rasputin 6,” as noted by Redditor realcoolioman and numerous content creators. That card reads as follows:
Analysis complete.
Lifeforms sustained by [O] energy. [O] direct control disengaged. Civilization status: nominal. SKYSHOCK event rank. (N)
Query: Re-engage population protection objectives. (N) Query: Reset moral structures. (N) Query: Activate defense subroutine AURORA RETROFLEX. (Y)
We can probably expect more teases over the coming days and weeks until Bungie releases official information about the expansion ahead of its release window in May, according to Bungie’s most recent development road map.
