Destiny 2 – Where Is Xur for February 9, 2018?

This week, Xur is on Io. He’s got his usual set of items, one weapon and three armor pieces, for sale, as well as the Fated Engram and Three of Coins.

Friday is Xur day. The mysterious vendor from parts unknown arrives in Destiny 2 with new and exciting loot. Let’s see what he has for us this week.

Where is Xur?

You can find Xur hanging out on Io near the Giant’s Scar.

What is Xur selling?

Once again, Xur is selling three armor pieces, one for each of the three classes in Destiny 2. Xur is also carrying the Three of Coins, as well as my personal favorite, the Fated Engram. You can find a complete list of what Xur is selling below, along with the number of Legendary Shards you’ll need to snag each piece.

Jade Rabbit – Scout Rifle

The Jade Rabbit exotic scout rifle is available for 29 Legendary Shards.

Raiden Flux – Hunter Chest Armor

The Raiden Flux exotic chest armor for Hunters is available for 23 Legendary Shards.

Synthoceps – Titan Gauntlets

The Synthoceps exotic gauntlets are available to Titans for 23 Legendary Shards.

Karnstein Armlets – Warlock Gauntlets

The Karnstein Armlets are available to Warlocks for 23 Legendary Shards.

What Should You Buy?

You should buy it all, if you don’t have it yet, and can afford it. If that’s not the case, you should know that the Jade Rabbit is a return item from Destiny 1 and while it used to be a PlayStation exclusive, it’s not really worth using. So buy it for the posterity itself, not its usefulness in combat.

The Hunter chest armor Raiden Flux is only worthwhile for Arcstrider Hunters, so their use is limited. The gauntlets for both the Titan and the Warlock aren’t bad, especially when used in a primarily PvP focused role. Perhaps the one must buy item of the four are the Karnstein Armlets as they offer health generation to Warlocks, which is always handy to have.
