For the second weekend in a row in Destiny 2, Xur is favoring Hunters with his inventory. Last week’s helmet was nice, but this week’s boots are some of the best Exotics in Destiny 2 period, especially when it comes to PvE activities.
For the second weekend in a row in Destiny 2, Xur is favoring Hunters with his inventory. Last week’s helmet was nice, but this week’s boots are some of the best Exotics in Destiny 2 period, especially when it comes to PvE activities.
Where is Xur?
Xur is on Earth in the EDZ, posted up on a cliff in his normal spot in the Winding Cove section of the map. He’s right next to a crashed Fallen skiff.
This week’s weapon is Sunshot, a Solar hand cannon that fires explosive rounds. This is a pretty solid weapon for both PvE and PvP, but it will work best in PvE activities as targets killed with the gun will explode in Solar energy, damaging all those around them. It’s on sale for 29 Legendary Shards.
The boots in question this week are called Orpheus Rig. When you pair these shoes with the Nightstalker subclass, the “Uncanny Arrows” perk will provide ability energy with each enemy tethered by Shadowshot anchors. This means that you can basically chain your Supers together by tethering large groups of enemies, while also spawning lots of orbs for your team. They cost 23 Legendary Shards.
Titans also have boots this week with Lion Rampant. This armor provides additional aerial maneuverability, allowing you to move multi-directionally in mid-air while using the Titan’s floaty jump ability. They are just 23 Legendary Shards.
Finally, Warlocks get Karnstein Armlets. These gauntlets have a perk called “Vampire’s Caress,” which give melee attacks the ability to grant increased resilience and mobility, as well as highlighting injured enemies. Melee kills with these gauntlets equipped will also greatly restore health. They cost 23 Legendary Shards.
Hunters, make sure to visit the EDZ and pick up Orpheus Rig this weekend, as they’re a game-changer in PvE activities, especially Raids.
