Bethesda announced a 500 Atoms Compensation to all buyers of Fallout 76 Collectors Edition (Power Armor Edition), and this has not gone down too well with the community. Fallout 76 slammed Bethesda for offering such a compensation package as 500 Atoms comes to $5 Virtual Currency.
A massive controversy erupted earlier this week after it was discovered that the $200 Fallout 76 Power Amor Edition comes with a Cheap Nylon Bag instead of the advertised Canvas West Tek Duffel Bag. The crazy part was how Bethesda Support handled the entire situation. When the issue was brought to their notice, this is how they responded to the consumers:
“Due to unavailability of materials, we had to switch to a nylon case in the Fallout 76: Power Armor Edition,” said an email from Nicholas at Bethesda Customer Support. “We hope this doesn’t prevent anyone from enjoying what we feel is one of our best collector’s editions”, concluded the communication.

“We are sorry that you aren’t happy with the bag. The bag shown in the media was a prototype and was too expensive to make,” said the Bethesda Gear Store Support. “We aren’t planning on doing anything about it.”
You guys can read more about the controversy in our coverage: Fallout 76’s $200 Power Armor Edition Has A Cheap Nylon Bag, Bethesda’s Response Is Crazy. The studio has finally responded to the entire controversy via Twitter and has also announced a compensation.
Firstly, Bethesda issued an apology regarding the goof-up, “We understand and respect that there is disappointment with the bag in the Power Armor Edition. We are sorry,” and then announced a compensation of “500 Atoms”. To claim it, the player will have to submit a proof of their Collector’s Edition purchase to Bethesda Support and they will assist in granting their account 500 Atoms. Is this compensation worth? If the response from Fallout community is to believe then it’s a big NO. For 500 Atoms in Fallout 76, you get a DOOR which cost 300 Atoms and some flower which cost 200 Atoms. Check out the few more response from the Fallout Community on the compensation package from Bethesda.

Are you for real? The equivalent of 5$ in virtual currency? You think that replaces the actual cost of a legit canvas bag? How can you be so out of touch Bugthesda?

So, you falsely advertised the bag, and your answer to this is
You are going to give people the equivalent of five dollars in fake play money.
People who purchased the Power Armor Edition for $199.99.
You are giving them five virtual dollars only good in your game.

500????? That’s like 5 dollars? What about the people that pre orderd the game for 60 and the price drops to 39.99 two weeks later? What’s the handout for them?

I have a weird feeling that there is some hidden legal mumbo jumbo that if you accept the 500 atoms, you can’t sue them for false advertising or some nonsense. Just seems like something Bethesda would do at this point… anyone going though the process should take a close look.
