Festive Pikachu Is Back To Celebrate Pokémon Day

The Festive Hat Pikachu returns for a limited time to celebrate Pokémon Day, and a brand-new outfit for your Trainer is available.

Pokémon fans rejoice as the Festive Hat Pikachu is back once again in Pokémon GO. This limited time event starts today February 26 and ends February 28. This gives you only two days to catch and find this exclusive variant of Pikachu.

Not only is this special variant available to catch, but another surprise awaits Trainers when they open the game. Two new special outfits have appeared for your Trainer to wear in game. Those who have played Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen, will recognize these outfits as the ones worn by the player in game.

While this is a surprise event, it’s also a great opportunity for those who didn’t catch the Festive Hat Pikachu last year, and to finish up the Pikachu Fan Medal. Let’s not forget that the Nintendo Switch is turning one later this week, and rumors of the new Pokémon game coming out for the Switch have been in full swing.
