Final Fantasy fans might want to book a ticket to Japan pretty soon, as this new theme park ride at Universal Japan is a dream come true for long-time fans of the series.

Specifically, the ride features characters and imagery from series favorite Final Fantasy VII. The working title for it is “Mog Ship: Magitek Observation Guild.”

In the video above, you can see an airship travel to FF7’s Midgard, with Chocobos in sight. That’s when the game’s hero and villain, Cloud Strife and Sephiroth, can be seen engaging in an epic battle.

The ride is said to utilize virtual reality, described as “super real experiences that synchronize the frantic speed and the sense of gravity of a theme park ride with astonishing advances in virtual reality that transport you to brand new super real world through sight and sound, stimulating the six senses.”

It’s pretty surreal to see a day where video games are getting their own theme park rides, but 2018 has brought it. It will be great to see what’s possible for video games and theme park collaborations in the future.

Sadly, the ride is only around for a limited time. It goes from Jan. 19 to June 24 at the theme park which resides in Osaka, Japan.
