Genshin Impact 1.1 update leak hints at new weapons and items, no Inazuma inclusion

Confusion reins over Genshin Impact's next update.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Genshin Impact will not receive a new world region in its 1.1 update, according to a leak from the game’s test servers. A screenshot of supposedly collated 1.1 beta information has been doing the rounds online since the leak dropped earlier today. It suggests that Genshin Impact’s map will not receive an update when the 1.1 patch rolls out, which hints that Inazuma — one of the seven nations in Teyvat — will be getting added in a separate future update.

This latest rumor contradicts another Genshin Impact leak that we covered, which was posted to Reddit in late September. The Reddit leak suggested that Inazuma would form part of the game’s 1.1 update and, while that could still be true, it’s difficult to discern which rumor is correct at this point.

The latest Genshin Impact 1.1 leak also reveals the possibility of new weapons and items making their way to miHoYo’s action RPG title. New four-star weapons, including a new Claymore and Spear, are said to be of “very good” quality. Meanwhile, a portable teleporter waypoint, an Anemoculus compass, and a Geoculus compass are believed to be new additions to Genshin Impact. Four new characters, and current characters buffs and nerfs, are thought to be getting updated in the 1.1 patch too.

It goes without saying that any leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt for now. We are sure to hear more from miHoYo about Genshin Impact’s 1.1 update soon enough.
