During a livestream on July 25 at 2pm CT, streamer Disguised Toast revealed the Gloop Sprayer card for Hearthstone’s The Boomsday Project.
A new card for Hearthstone’s The Boomsday Project was revealed today, and players interested in cloning their minions are in for another surprise. This time around Disguised Toast showed off the Gloop Sprayer card during a Twitch stream on his channel, which lets players copy their minions at a relatively high price.
Disguised Toast compared Gloop Sprayer to Faceless Manipulator and Fungalmancer fused together. Not unlike yesterday’s reveal for Zerek’s Cloning Gallery, which summons a copy of each adjacent minion, Gloop Sprayer creates a copy of “each adjacent minion” for just eight Mana Crystals. But unlike Zerek’s Cloning Gallery, these copies aren’t one-to-one replicas. That means players aren’t necessarily sacrificing sustainability for quantity, giving Hearthstone fans some pretty hefty minions when applied correctly.
Gloop Sprayer is a pretty versatile card too, because it gives players the opportunity to match it with various minion setups. Disguised Toast calls its abilities “endless” in that regard, although he’s quick to point out that it isn’t necessarily overpowered in its own right. Just remember not to hold onto this card for too long. While its cost is relatively high, the Gloop Sprayer is best applied to powerful minions sooner rather than later thanks to its copy abilities.
The Boomsday Project is the second expansion of the current Standard year, the Year of the Raven. It will add 135 new cards to the game, including new keywords like Magnetic. It is currently available to pre-order, with all the cards aiming to become available on Aug. 7.
