Santa Monica Studio has just posted a job listing where it claims to be searching for a senior character concept artist to give his or her contribution in shaping what looks rather easy to be a future God of War 2.

“Santa Monica Studio is looking for an experienced Senior Character Concept artist to help develop genre-defining visuals delivered only on PlayStation,” says the job listing.

“Come help us design a rich cast of characters and creatures steeped in story, mythology, mixed with strong historical detail and influences.”

More from the same post says the person set to be hired will “work with the Art Directors and Leads to create high-quality characters, gods, creatures, and props,” hinting at this stuff to be implemented in the next God of War game (via ResetEra).

Of course, we’re not surprised Santa Monica Studio guys are already starting to work on God of War 2.

The original soft reboot was so successful, and also – if you’ve played it or heard from creative director Cory Barlog – you know that there are more stories to be told in that mythology and that have already been set up in the existing title.
