God of War: Raising Kratos Documentary Is Now Available On Youtube

God of War: Raising Kratos, the full length documentary on the making of the most recent God of War game, is available to watch now on Youtube.

God of War: Raising Kratos is a feature-length documentary about the five-year development process of Santa Monica Studios most recent entry into the God of War franchise. The game released to critical acclaim, and the adulation of the people who played it, becoming one of the most successful games of last year. The documentary offers a rare, and detailed, look at the behind the scenes process of making a Triple-A game.

One of the most interesting aspects of the documentary is exactly how much risk there was for Santa Monica Studios to almost entirely over a well known and beloved series. While it is easy to sit here in the aftermath, knowing about all the Game of the Year awards that it won, at the time it was a tense and stressful move for the studio to make.

I haven’t had time to sit down and watch it yet, as I have been too busy playing games I am not currently allowed to talk about. That said, as soon as work is done for the day, I am going to get stuck into this. It’s not often we such a deep behind the scenes look at the making of a game, and the fact that it is available to all on Youtube is very nice indeed.
