Popular battle royale game H1Z1 launched its open beta on PlayStation 4 earlier today, but many players have said they haven’t been able to access the game yet.

Despite Daybreak Games saying servers would unlock and players could begin playing in the open beta at 11am CT, the game immediately had server issues. The H1Z1 Twitter account tweeted just one minute after servers unlocked, addressing the “heavy load times,” and saying that they were working on a solution.

The load times that Daybreak were referring to were the continuous loading screen on the game as soon as players pressed start. The loading screen remained the same until loading stopped to tell players that it “Failed to connect to a server.”

In addition to the loading times and server outages, some Twitter users contacted Daybreak to inform them that their pre-order items were not available in the open beta. The H1Z1 Twitter account directed players having issues with pre-order items appearing to go to the help section of Daybreak’s website.

At 1:54pm CT, Daybreak Games tweeted that it was investigating server issues across of all of its games, which includes H1Z1, PlanetSide 2, and DC Universe Online among others.

It is unknown whether players will be able to access the H1Z1 open beta today as the server situtation has seemingly become worse, if Daybreak’s tweets are any indication. Many fans of the game and the battle royale genre were excited to test out and play H1Z1 on PS4, but it’s possible some players will be turned off by the poor open beta launch today.
