It has been a while since we have had a Halo game on the PC. We recently got a map builder that allowed us to play custom games, but that’s just not the same. It seems the wait is over, as the new Halo: Infinite is coming to both the Xbox One and PC.

Microsoft announced the new Halo game at E3, where they also said it would be coming back to the superior gaming platform (sorry). It will also be built with a new engine, known as Slipspace. Developers rarely go with a new engine unless they need the game to do something it hasn’t done before, so I am curious to see what ends up being new in Halo: Infinite.
Halo games have always looked superb, so playing the new one in 4k is bound to be quite the experience. It will also see the return of Master Chief, arguable the second greatest hulking, green armor wearing computer game character in history. 343 Industries will once again be developing the title. I think it is fair to say that they need a home run with this title, as the last couple of Halo games didn’t seem to land with the same bang as previous titles. This, combined with the new engine, has me buying tickets for this hype train. Is it too much at this point to mention that the name, and the new engine, gives the impression we might just be getting an open world Halo game? I had best stop now, or I could imagine all kinds of thing that most likely won’t happen. But they would be awesome.
