Another set of new evoultions are available now as both Magneton and Probopass were added in the newest Pokémon Go update.

Both Pokémon are only obtainable in the main series games by training their pre-evoultions Magneton and Nosepass in specific areas, but this doesn’t matter now as players can use new Lure Modules to obtain these special Steel-types.

Niantic introduced three new types of lures, items that help trainers by attracting Pokémon to any PokeStops that they are placed onto, in this update. These new models, Glacial Lures, Mossy Lures, and Magnetic Lures can be purchased in the in-game shop and will later be available as Special Research task rewards.

All trainers have to do to obtain Magneton and Probopass is find a PokeStop that does not have an active lure placed inside and then the place a Magnetic Lure inside before selecting the Pokémon they want to evolve.

You should see the silhouette of the pokemon you are looking to evolve with the lure icon next to it. If you do not see this icon, do not attempt an evolution.

Like with most special evolutions, Magneton and Probopass won’t be available in the wild to capture, but they could become Raid bosses in the near future.
