The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Remake is getting a limited edition.

The original Link’s Awakening is one of the most classic games on the early days of the first Game Boy. While it hasn’t aged as gracefully as some other games, it is still charming and fun to revisit at times.

You play as Link, who gets stranded on the Koholint Island. It’s a strange island filled with odd characters, and Link needs to awaken the Wind Fish in order to find his way back home.

Nintendo surprised fans early this year by announcing a remake for Link’s Awakening for the Nintendo Switch. The original game on the Game Boy was 2D; the Switch version will have it be 3D. The new 3D models are stylized. The characters are small, and everything looks cartoony. Some have issues with this art style, but in our opinion, we find it incredibly charming.

Nintendo revealed more information of the Link’s Awakening remake in their E3 2019 Direct. Later on, a Limited Edition version of the game was revealed. The Limited Edition comes with the game, a 120-page artbook, and a steelbook that looks like an old-school Game Boy.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Remake is slated to release on September 20, 2019.
