Update 5.1 for Monster Hunter World PC version live now. It adds ultrawide 21:9 support, push-to-talk voice chat feature, various bug fixes, and many other things.
Capcom has finally added the 21:9 resolutions support in the PC version of Monster Hunter World. The feature was added to the game via Patch 5.1 which went live earlier today. It is bizarre to see a feature like this (21:9 resolutions support) missing from the game since launch.

In addition to this, Update 5.1 also added the Push-To-Talk feature for the in-game VOIP (again a feature that has been missing in the game since launch). Also, the Vignette Effects options in the Graphics Menu will now of three options: High, Normal, and OFF instead of (previously) ON/OFF.
You can read the Update 5.1 Patch Notes below.
Update 5.1 Changelog | Monster Hunter World
- Ultrawide (21:9) support added.
- Vignette Effects options will change from On/Off to High/Normal/Off.
- Support for Simplified Chinese added.
- Push-to-talk voice chat option added.
- Various bugs fixed.
This is not the first time Monster Hunter World PC version is lagging regarding important features and new content as compared to the PS4 and Xbox One ports. The big Witcher collaboration event which is scheduled to go live in February 2019 for the consoles, don’t even have a launch window on PC.
