As expected, Nintendo and Tencent have an announcement for next month at a joint press conference. They will detail the plans in the place for their expansion into China, where they hope to launch the Nintendo Switch as reported by My Nintendo News.
The event itself is set to begin on Aug. 2nd, 2019. It is taking place in Shanghai, China. They shared details of their meeting back in April that Nintendo was going to team with Tencent. Tencent is one of the worlds leading game companies and one of the biggest internet firms in China.
Tencent has even begun to open various official social media accounts for the Nintendo Switch as revealed by Dr. Serkan Toto on Twitter. Serkan Toto also indicated that invitations to attend the event had been handed out.

Consoles are not as widely regarded in the Chinese market. Time will tell if the partnership will change the tide of consoles in China after both PlayStation and Xbox have failed to do so.
