The Nintendo of America Twitter page announced that there will be a new Nintendo Direct livestream discussing the roadmap for games for the Nintendo Switch during the first half of 2021. While players can expect news on brand new titles, there should also be more information on Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
The latest Nintendo Direct livestreams put a focus on a singular game, indie partners, or other projects. The most recent stream showcased the new Super Nintendo World amusement park in Japan. However, this stream will be dedicated to multiple new titles and more coverage on Smash Bros Ultimate, which we can come to expect with any large Nintendo announcement.
What can we expect?
At this point, it is anyone’s guess what could be announced. When it comes to Smash, there will most likely be a new fighter announced. It may be possible the long-rumored Crash Bandicoot will be joining the roster as Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be coming to Switch.
Aside from that, any assortment of Legend of Zelda remakes, brand new titles, and more can be expected from Nintendo Direct. What we do know is that these games are scheduled for the first half of 2021, so whatever is announced should be up for grabs in no time. You can catch the livestream on the Nintendo Website on February 17 at 2PM PT.
