Origin Access Premier was unveiled by Electronic Arts today. The subscription service can be paid for monthly or annually, and includes a huge library.
The subscription model is upon us, gamers, and Electronic Arts have been in the game for some time now. Today, however, they announced the next step in the form of Origin Access Premier, a PC specific subscription service that will offer members exclusive benefits for giving EA a small sum of money each month.
Origin Access Premier
Origin Access Premier will offer gamers full access to EA’s newest releases. This includes the chance to play titles days in advance of their official launch. The service will also offer in-game rewards, such as extra in-game currency or other forms of extra content. Subscribers will also have access to a growing library of previously released games, such as The Sims 4, Star Wars: Battlefront II, EA Sports FIFA 18, A Way Out, Unravel Two, and Fe.
For those wondering what upcoming games will be part of Origin Access Premier, the list includes EA Sports Madden NFL 19, EA Sports FIFA 19, Battlefield V, and Anthem. That list will undoubtedly grow, but that’s not a bad way to kick of a subscription service.
Origin Access Premier will cost gamers $14.99 per month, or $99.99 per year. What most people forget, though, is if you’re outside of the U.S. you’ll pay a bit more. TL;DR Games is based in Canada, and when we checked the price on the Canadian site, it’s $19.99 per month and $129.99 per year. That’s a bit of a price bump to consider, so read the full press release from EA and make sure you’re clear on all the details before deciding.
